Founded in 2004, Salida Mountain Trails (SMT) is a nonprofit that plans, builds, and maintains non-motorized trails around the City of Salida. SMT’s mission is to provide world-class trails that support a robust local economy and a high quality of life. We envision an accessible trail network that offers ample opportunities for outdoor recreation, while mitigating impacts to natural resources. Today, SMT stewards close to 65 miles of singletrack spanning local, state, and federal land.
