ENDURANCE SPORTS TIMING
RUN WITH US
We've got the unique opportunity to partner with America's Shamrock Run, a festive and fun St. Patrick's Day virtual event being run nationwide!
Participants get the most amazing swag (jacket, hat, medal, bib, oh my!) and can help us raise funds for the Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis. Won't you join us?
With over 10 years of full-time experience timing races both big and small, we have the expertise to handle any race situation and can anticipate what race directors need. We offer live online results and are committed to providing the best available technology to our events and their participants.
Our job is to make YOU look good.
race day solutions:
We've got the best tech around.
We use ChronoTrack RFID timing technology, the industry leading provider of race timing and scoring solutions for endurance sports. Our single use bib tags are thin, saving you on bulk and lost chip fees.
We are the green choice.
Our registration computer kiosks eliminate paper waste on race day (in addition to manual data entry errors). Better yet, they double as packet pickup kiosks for a lightning-fast participant experience where bib numbers can even be assigned on the spot (no more passing around the master list printout).
Participants LOVE the races we score.
We can't do anything about long bathroom lines, but at least the race day registration and packet pickup lines won't be. Our kiosks streamline the data slog with online waivers, simple bib transfers, and easy credit card swiping. Plus, online registration stays open until race start. Sick of waiting in line? Use the mobile-optimized registration site to sign up and skip right to packet pickup.
streamlined registration options:
We go above and beyond.
We are experts at setting up online registration, which is why we can be your point-of-contact to answer any question, any time. We stand out from the crowd with our customer service; our client relationships and ensuring a positive participant experience are our top priorities.
Spend money on other stuff.
These platforms can do it all. Really.
We can help you choose the best registration platform for your specific event, based on whether you want to create teams, generate and track coupon codes, encourage donations, add fundraising goals, or go virtual.
instant results onsite:
Again, we've got the best tech around.
Remember those registration and packet pickup kiosks? After the race starts, they switch over to results kiosks. Participants and spectators can look up results instantly by searching a name or bib number. Of course, the online results page is mobile-optimized if you're not near a kiosk (ideal for instant results and minimizing crowds in COVID times). We've also got the ability to display real-time scrolling results (the modern alternative to paper lists) and set up announcer feeds as runners approach the finish line.
Your event's social media is fresh.
We send you the results link well in advance of race day so you can have your website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram posts ready to go way before the first finisher crosses the mats. Followers can track runners in real time!
Your participants' social media is fresh, too.
Participants can opt-in to send their results via text or show up in their Twitter feed. Plus that results screen is totally Instagram-worthy. Post-race, unedited finish line photos can be quickly uploaded to each individuals' results page. #justsignedupfornextyear
Participants LOVE the races we score.
We repeat ourselves, but we always have their times! Between Chronotrack's unparalleled accuracy and our meticulous start/finish line setup (with two backup data collections and finish line video), we rarely miss a participant's time if they wear their bib properly. In fact, we ask you to let us field results-related questions post race so we can unburden one thing of many from your plate.
Erik Kean grew up running in Cheyenne, WY for Central High, which got him recruited onto Princeton's track and cross country teams. Post-collegiately, he ran in the Colorado and Wyoming mountains to train for the 2004 Olympic Trials Marathon (finished 29th). He got into race timing full-time in 2010, after eleven years in running specialty retail (and even produced and directed a few races). Erik has timed them all, from tiny trail races to assisting with timing operations for Boston and Chicago marathons. In 2019, the Keans moved to Fort Collins to be near family and to re-launch Bighorn Racing. Erik is a Lead Timer for Spartan Race and is available for timing jobs, contracting (Chronotrack/Athlinks, MyLaps/ChampionChip, RaceResult), and USATF certified course measurement.
Kathryn Kean grew up in Northern VA but visited her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins in Fort Collins every summer growing up. She ran track and cross country for Haverford College and met Erik while working in running retail in NoVa. Kathryn went back to school for her BSN at Georgetown in 2010 and is currently a stay at home mom to their three kids, Lindsey, Nathan, and Charlotte. She manages the website and communications for Bighorn Racing.
